Merits, Merits and more Merits

Hello Everyone,

There is a big difference in the photography industry between what we call a "Sellable image" and a "Salonable image". A sellable image is a great image that most photographers can take that our client loves... However a salonable image is one that wins us merits and helps bring the level of photography upward.

There are many fake awards on the internet and many websites that anyone can win an award just simply by entering, however the merits that count are the ones from distinguished organizations such as PPA (Professional Photographers of America), FPP (Florida Professional Photographers) etc. These Merits are awards only given to the highest quality of images.

Salon merits however are judged by a qualified panel of experienced and distinguished photographers. In short, these are the merits that you would like to receive as a photographer.

I am honored to announce that CCS photography has receieved its first two Merits from the Florida Professional Photographers Association during this month's convention. This was the first time that our company started competing at state level (or at any level for that matter) and we were all thrilled with the results. We are quite honored to have received these Merits.

Below are the two examples that were entered that received a Merit:

Title: Blue Passion

Title: Just the Two of Us

Again, we are just thrilled that the first time entering these prints that we took 2 Merits.

We love producing quality images for our clients and we look forward to winning more Merits next year!

Blessings to you all,

The photos are fantastic - no wonder you won those awards. I do love the stance the groom has taken in the first one. It really brings out the "Passion" title.
